Baby steps

Today I thought I'd take a minute and share a little about my boy. His name is Kaimen and he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy about 5 years ago. He's an amazing kid with more heart and guts than any person that I've ever known. For my wife and I, watching him grow over the past 6 and a half years have been filled with some of the most rewarding and painful experiences of our lives. It's a roller coaster of emotion that I often think I can't stomach any longer. But Kaimen isn't just any ordinary boy. If there's anyone I want with me on this wild ride, it's him. So full of life, willing to take on any challenge. Rarely does he ever win with grace and can be the sorest of losers...and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's that fire and passion that drives him to keep going. This kid is a fighter in every sense of the word. Whatever he wants to do, he finds a way to get it done. Wherever he wants to go, he'll make his own way to get there....even if it's only baby steps.
